What is the Eucharist? Is the ultimate Sacramental Sacrifice, an act of thanksgiving to God the Father, a memorial of Christ’s Passover, and the totality of Christ’s Presence in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. The Sacrament of Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of Initiation into the Church, together with Baptism and Eucharist. Confirmation completes Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seals or “confirms” the baptized in Christ and more fully equips them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church (CCC 1285).
