The Altar Servers prepare things for Mass, assist the celebrant during the Mass, and put things away after Mass.
The ministry of serving is part of Youth Ministry here at St. Christopher's Parish. To become a server, a person must have made his or her First Holy Communion and be willing to be trained properly and to serve as scheduled. Adults who want to assist at Mass are certainly welcome to serve as well. To register for server training, please call the parish office (713) 645-6614 and leave your name, address, and phone number so that Today can contact you and schedule your training.

Ushers welcome people to Mass, and to other gatherings in the church. They help people to find a seat and/or assist them as requested. The ushers take up the collection, and bring it to the altar. They also straighten the misalettes, hymnals, etc, in the pews and check the restrooms for cleanliness. After the last Mass on Saturday & Sunday, they lock the church.
